Help with PC Video cards?

I have bought (rather foolishly without understanding requirements) a few PC games. One game I have installed says

""This program requires T&L and stencil support (thus 32 bpp desktop!)"

The game requires an Nvidia GeForce 2 or ATI radeon 8500 video card, or above.

If you have one of these cards then you need to update your driver to make the game run.

I have no idea where to go from here. I have windows XP with 506Mb RAM. With just the basic Direct X 9c.... Other PC games work just fine...I thought these old games would work on this PC.



Thanks for your help.|||T&L is a part of shader model 3, so your graphics card may be too old or just not support shader model 3, Tell us what model of gfx card you have and we can find out.|||First off get some more RAM 512MB is nothing (this what you actually have btw) Than just buy a 1g ATI radeon.|||That is a dedicated graphics card and it is separate from memory. Time to use Google. Type up the name of the card, and look for the requirements.|||yoooooooooo - max out your ram----512 ? it is an old unit

you only need to ask once -

well you got games you can't play ---you didn't look at your comp specs 1st before you jumped on the horse

now you might be able to play them on very low resolution and a very slow frame rate ----but i am not in front of your computer or have your computer specs ( you didn't give them )
