How do I update a video card?

I bought the sims 3 and when i try to open it it says something about my video card not being able to support at least Sharder model 2 and i need to update it. I have no idea how to. someone help me!|||The best thing you can do is contact the manufacturer and ask what the error means and what can be done to correct it.|||check the manufacturers website for updated drivers. Update directx (google it). If all else fails, you will need to buy and install a new video card.
