i was about to bl the ship demo. but it said i didnt meet one of the system requirement because my video card was not directx 9 capable. i find this very hard to believe because i have an ati radeon x300 series video card and i have updated all my drivers. ??|||Your card *is* DX9 capable.

Try Start/run and type dxdiag. This will launch a utility that will tell you what version of DirectX you have. I think the current is 9.0c
