What video cards can i update/buy into my Gateway DX200s windows xp pc?

hi. i have a video card that cant play the sims 3, can barely play combat arms, and runs really slow on GTA San Andreas. i have a windows xp computer and recently i bought a nvidia geforce (8400 GS) graphics card. well i bought it and i didnt know a lot about video cards back then and i thought it went into the small white slot, but i guess i needed a different slot in my computer called pci-e. so is there any other video cards that can run these games for my crappy computer?|||I don't think your Gateway DX200 has a PCI-E slot...

You'll need to open your computer and check... is there a different colored slot that sits next to the white slots but is indented farther in? If the only slots on your motherboard are the white ones, that's not good. Those are old-style PCI slots, and viideo cards which match that are much slower. There aren't any PCI graphics cards good enough for high-end games, the best you can get is a 9500GT (which is the minimum to play most newer games)

A PCIExpressx1 video card would be much better, but they are hard to find:
