How do you update integrated video cards?

I have Dell computer, and I have a few games on it like Halo CE but the games give me warnings that my computer is below the minimum spec. I know that dell has integrated video cards, says a good friend of mine, but I want to be able to run this game clearly. So my question is, how do i update this integrated video card? I need the help ASAP because i want to be able to run games on my comp.

My machine info is: 2400 MHz, 64M Intel 865G (0x2572) thats what it says when I try to run a game, and yes ive had this computer for a long time...|||There's a big difference between Updating and Upgrading.

You meant Upgrading.

If you want to upgrade the integrated video card then the simplest way is to buy a video adaptor card. Which one you need depends on your motherboard. Had you mentioned the model# of your computer then it would be easy to know which one you need.

You see there are different types of video adaptor cards. There's PCI, AGP, PCI Express etc... you need to know what type of slots your motherboard has before making a choice or it may not be compatible.

Once you have determined the type you need then to the store you go. Install the new video adaptor card. It's not true that the system will disable the integrated video card automatically. You need to disable the integrated video card within the BIOS settings or you may have Device conflicts between the 2 cards. What the system will do is automatically disable or remove the driver for the integrated video card when the new driver for the new video adaptor card is installed.

Tapping a certain Fkey while booting the system will get you in the Bios. Check with Dell to see which one it is for your System.|||you have to buy a new graphics card, if its a optiplex, Dells main model (should be on front) you will need a AGP card as thats the only slot it has, it will also not have room for a full size one so you will need whats called a small form factor one which is about half of the size.

Dan|||go to dell support site--put in your service tag or model. . u meant upgrade? buy a graphics card, install it and it will automatically disable the integrated one..
